Monthly Simlit Short Story Challenge – April 2019 AND the Winners are …

What a wonderful month this has been!

In our first challenge, we had 24 amazing entrants.

Nine brave new scribblers entered the novice category and fifteen seasoned Veterans.

Each story was a total delight.

I am happy with this first attempt and hope we can continue to reach farther.

I can tell you the vote was extremely tight!  We have had two and three-way ties for top honors in both categories.   The tie for third place in both categories held until today and at the end only 1 vote separated them (in novice 1 vote separates 2nd, 3rd & 4th places).  To recognize this I will award honorable mentions in both novice and veteran.

  9. Congratulations everyone! These were all such wonderful stories, and I’m so excited at the amount of participation we had from readers. I have to say, if May’s competition is this difficult to choose, I might have to “eeny, meeny, miny, moe” my picks! 😉

  11. Lol – I was going to see if the ones I voted for won…and I can’t remember which ones I voted for anymore, but I can see that all the ones that won were ones I wanted to vote for! (try reading that 10-times fast)
