Today marks the uncelebrated return of her heinous highness,
the nefarious Queen Evella herself.
My regular readers will remember her as the dark villainess
who seeks to destroy her archenemies …
The Charmings.
Her hatred of Snow White and her kin is legendary
BUT as for “US” …
she is the one we love to hate.

When we last saw Evella she had just had a near-death experience
by a gift of poisoned tea.
Apple tea!
Seems that one of her henchmen, known ONLY as the Weasel,
had turned on her.
Evella and Bramblwise, her other cohort,
barely escaped with their lives!
They have been on the run and in hiding ever since!

“UGH Glimmerbrook!”
Evella had been in a stew about the town since she had arrived.
“What a horrid little backwater burg this is.
I cannot believe that I have been relegated to live in the sticks!’
‘I am surrounded by nosey bumpkins.
There is LisaBee,
all happy in her dank little hovel that is even more dreadful mine.
She spends her days being NICE to everyone.
Fruitcake?
Fruitcake anyone?
I got your fruitcake you meddlesome old biddy!
Sooo obnoxious!”
“Then we have Papa Zimri elf with his ‘precious’ children.
The three stooges, Lolas, Lyra, and Lyndis.
All sunshine and brightness from them.
UGH, a bunch of do-gooders!
REALLY!
How very droll!
Helping mankind and nature with their puny elixirs!
Bah!
You can help me by leaving me ALONE!”
“Worst of all is the spellcaster’s family that lives near the edge of town.
Umberto is a WHITE wizard who is married to a tree-hugging elf!
Not only are they do-gooders BUT they have a noisy obnoxious brat.
Always laughing and playing!
Her constant childish chatter grating on my last nerve!
It is maddening!
To the delight of Mummy and Daddy, she casts her ‘sweet spells’ on her stuffies.
Come to Auntie Evella child,
I will teach you some REAL magic.”

“Ahh but I am not here for the social life.
I have heard there is a portal to a magical realm nearby and I wish to access it.
I have need of the spells that the sages know there.
I must be discrete.
No one must know it is me.
Not to worry!
I have a plan!
A delightful plan.”
“A new hat.
Yes, it will do nicely!”
“Splendid!
No one will ever suspect.”
Evella wasted no time getting off to work, seeking the portal.

Her heart skipped a beat as she laid eyes on the realm.
“This is incredible,” she whispered to herself
as she gave it a quick look over.
True the place was stunning but sightseeing was not the reason she had come here.

She found her way to the Wizard HQ.
On the first floor, she met the sage Simeon Silversweater.
He was perfect!
She knew the type well.
Chivalrous and benevolent.
All she would have to do is affect the old helpless woman bit
and he would gallantly rise to her rescue.
AND HE DID!
Evella made hasty work of collecting the 7 motes and
delivered them quickly to her magical benefactor.

Oh come now ….

She had a bit of shopping to get done in Spellcaster’s Alley before she left for home.
“Agnes? Agnes!”
Evellea heard someone shouting.
She looked around.
They were shouting and waving at her.
? ME ?
OH drat, that is right I AM Agnes she recalled.
Her neighbor barreled toward her with deep concern on his face.
“Agnes, what are you doing here in Spellcaster’s Alley?
This can be a very unsafe place for the unlearned,” he warned.
“Oh deary me, ‘Berto, imagine bumping into you here?”
Evella twittered in her best syrupy little old lady speak, “I am just fine dear boy.”
“Taking a little look around is all!”
She lied thru her teeth!

She was back home before sunset.
Despite bringing home an unplanned pet,
it had been a successful trip
Evella threw back her head as the villainous cackle escaped from her throat,
it had all been too easy!
WAY too easy!

Nice tour of Glimmerbrook even with the infamous Evella. I don’t think this is good news for the Charmings that she now has ‘real’ magical powers. Love the characters you created 😉 and the gorgeous builds you showcased. Nicely done.

Evella is soo cute with her new look, not when she was the old witch, lol. You tickled me so much with the whole text and toilet bit, lol. I love what you did here, showing us around while telling the story of Evella. Love the overview and of course our dear Evella and her new friends, lol. ❤ ❤ What is she up too?

I love the new look of the Queen of the Evil she is fabulous now. Now she becomes who she is I cannot wait to read her diabolical plan she minds. hey hey hey !
